Privacy Policy

As a user of Gradebook, you have the right to expect us to keep your information private. Our promise to you is that we will never sell or give access to your information. We will continue to use best practice techniques to keep your data secure. These include but are not limited to HTTPS encryption, Google authentication, and a protected API for communicating between your browser and our database.

What data do we collect?

We collect your name (first and last), Google identifier, email address, and school. This information is required for the basic functionality of Gradebook.

How do we use your data?

Your Google identifier is used to associate your grade information with your Google account.

We may send you emails from time to time with information about your account, security notifications, and updates from our service. If you do not wish to recieve these, you can opt-out under your account settings.

What data do we sell?

Absolutely nothing.

How do we serve ads to you?

Our ads keep Gradebook free for you to use. We work directly with local advertisers to ensure relevant advertising for you. These ads are randomly shown and no personal or activity information is used to determine which ads to show.

How does my school use my data?

If your school or organization is a Gradebook partner, they will be able to see anonymized statistics for your school. Your schools' staff (e.g. academic advisors) can request access to view your account for a limited time period, which you will have to approve.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete your account from our system at anytime under your account settings. This truly deletes your data from our system. All your data, including your semesters, classes, and grades will be deleted and is unrecoverable!
